IoT security for home users
Home networks of smart (IoT) devices are rapidly growing in complexity. Most home users lack training in cybersecurity and are thus left coping with securing these networks and remediating attacks without having access to the necessary expertise. In our work, we explore security problematics that arise in the home network context, looking at its various aspects: the user themselves, IoT devices, IoT-related mobile apps. My approach to research in this field has been discussed in our FPS 2020 paper and our EuroUSEC 2021 paper. Preliminary work on detection has been presented in our IoTBDS 2021 paper.
